About Us:

To learn more about us read below...

Rebecca "aka The Mom":
I'm the 30-something-ish wife of my beloved Computer Guy.
I'm the adoring and incredibly proud mom of eight children, two saints..six in training.
I'm my brothers' sister and my parents' daughter.

I'm a devout Catholic, an avid political junkie, compulsive reader, able debater, aspiring home-maker, dedicated homeschooler, amazing friend, and I make the meanest Chicken Fried Steak you'll ever have the pleasure of eating.

I can't live in a house with white walls, sing Billy Joel songs while I wash the dishes, revel in the cool crispness of clean sheets, and am completely obsessed with cute shoes.

I am just like moms the whole world over, and then some.

Rebecca blogs mainly at Shoved To Them. She occasionally posts here when Joe goes on hiatus or forgets that he has a blog. You can read her best stuff over at Shoved To Them. Seriously, go there now. You can always email her at: Shovedtothem [at] gmail [dot] com.

Brian:
I met my wife while I was still in high school...although, she was in college. (Yeah, I was that awesome :-p) I also believe that my wife is a living saint for having to not only put up with my constant antics (usually having something to do with wanting to either take her picture, fiddle with my camera, iPhone, and computer or bug her to play paintball with my brother's and I; she still doesn't believe me it doesn't "hurt") but because she is the mother of our son, who even though is 9 months old, is a miniature version of his father. On top of that, she commutes to school over 100 miles from home, where she is studying to get her Master's in Nursing. I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for my wonderful wife.

I am what some Catholics call a "vert," I was baptized in the Church, never left the faith, nor stopped practicing. Thus, I am not a convert, nor a revert. Although, I certainly always have more to learn about my faith. I get heckled quite a bit from some for my conviction to the Magisterium, but my mother always told me that I should lead through example, when necessary use words. I think she may have borrowed that from someone else ;-) ...but it is still relevant, and I pray that my presence on this blog allows me to do both.

I say that because I firmly believe that it is our job, the young people of the Church, to lead by example. I think that openly expressing our support for the Church, and her teachings accomplishes leading by example, and creating dialogue and discussion about faith accomplishes using words, because it is in this case necessary.
Like Joe, I am always open to explaining my position, and defending my faith. If you would like to contact me, please drop me a line at brianatststans@gmail.com.
