3 1/2 Time-Outs Tuesday (Vol. VIII)

Just like Conversion Diary's 7 Quick-takes Friday, except it's half as long and twice as good.

1.
Earlier in the week, I posted about Simcha Fisher because I like her work (I know she isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I like her flava' so yeah.) I did so in a ... humorous fashion and received a ton of comments. It was a big hit to my ego because people were posting not so much about what I said, but because the post title made them think I was attacking her. They were coming to her defense... it made me really think about what I should be posting about... apparently it isn't my own ideas, or myself.

2.
I am hoping for a Santorum "reset" over the next few days. The primary nomination process is great when you have a stellar candidate, or several good candidates. It is frustrating as all get-out when the field is weak. At this point Santorum needs to be the guy, I believe. Everyone has had their opportunity, and I just believe that Santorum is the best mix of issues, ideas, and electability. Let's see what this next week or so brings. Honestly, I would love to see what people do in a Romney vs. Santorum match up.

3.
The longer I live in Alaska, the more I realize that I am losing touch with the "reality" that is the "lower 48." We are spending a few days with friends, so TV is in our lives for the next few days. Watching shows, especially commercials, makes me realize how much I have changed in 2 years. Even more strange is watching "House Hunters." Do people really act and think like that? Does a Contractor and a Nurse really need a 2600sq/ft house, with 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, because their family is "growing" (aka they had their first child and might  have a second)?

3 1/2.
A personal note: Please say a quick prayer and ask St. Joseph to intercede for me. I am sort of back to square one on the employment hunt, and it has been a long time now. I am really diving into prayer and contemplation over what God wants for me personally, but even more so for my family. Thanks.

Thanks Larry for hosting.

Hey I liked your Simcha post, you're funny early in the morning!

What you said about HH is so true - I used to think the same thing back when we had TV and would watch that show. Kind of depressing, actually.

I love #3! When I watch TV at the gym, it is such a guilty pleasure. Those kinds of shows especially ... the re-model ones etc.
