3 1/2 Time-Outs Tuesday (Vol. IV)

(Just like Conversion Diary’s 7 Quick-Takes Friday, but only half as long, and nearly half as good.)

I.
I wanted to be all sophisticated and cerebral with my blog this year. No silly memes, foolishness, or shameless self-promotions. HA! Thanks to LarryD I have already seen that fly out the window.

Too.
I played outside today doing a very Alaskan thing. It was -10°F. I was literally walking on the shelf-ice of a still flowing river looking for tracks of predator animals - on purpose, to follow them. I will save you from the rest of the insanity of what we were doing, but let's just say it was a blast. My feet got a little cold. It really makes you appreciate God when you are out in such conditions, and realize that the world don't stop, even for -10°, or -55°F like it was in some areas in the state.

3.

I hate to even mention this so I will do it here, where people have already stopped reading this post. I made a little video last year (which I now wish I spent more than a single night making) which gained some "viral-esque" traction on The Tube of You. I tried keeping up with responses and requests for various things concerning the video, which almost came faster than I could respond. Anyways, I found out today, rather accidentally that a DIOCESE has it on its HOMEPAGE. I don't even know what to say except that if God can use me, and my talents... HE CAN MOST CERTAINLY use you and yours. Go do something God-worthy today.

3.49999999999.
I have been having a weird allergy reaction, which I almost never get, ever since I got home today. I wonder if I am alergic to warmth now? Is that possible? Wow - what if that were true?

Thanks LarryD for hosting!

-10°F, I start to gripe at 60°F. I grew up in cold places, I spent a good chunk of my childhood in Germany, I used to love the cold weather, then I had to work in it and it made me reevaluate that stance.

I remember that video! It made it to a catholic forum I frequent.

I love that video! I didn't know it was you who made it! I was having a crummy morning and was in a rotten mood but now that I watched your video, I feel better! I especially like the picture of the Handmaids of the Precious Blood! Great job! I'll probably just have to post about it and link to you now!
